Teamwork and virtual teams
Nina Sochon, our guest speaker on Tues 12 April 2016, is a Teamwork Specialist and leading authority on virtual teams. She is the CEO of Transformed Teams - a training, coaching and consulting firm. Nina is an experienced executive, having established and led the team that delivered the Australian Federal Government’s national work from home (‘telework’) initiatives. She recently delivered the Australian Federal Government’s “phenomenal” flexibility toolkits – a world-leading guide to businesses and organisations looking to become flexible employers. Nina was introduced by AG John Sloan, (pictured right).
Nina gave us a great exercise to pair up with one person describing an image, while the other person – who could not see the image – had to draw according to his or her interpretation of the description. This exercise was to emphasise the power of communication and working together as teams.
