Register interest now!
Tentative booking for the whole theatre for the Friday night - 10 August. We can have drinks and nibbles first, and they can even start a little earlier if we wanted to.
As noted previously, while it’s some time away, we do need to gauge interest now, so we can secure the theatre for 10 August.
Please register interest with Elizabeth Sutton.
Foster Hope appeal
Slippers and pyjamas are sought for children - Foster Hope Charitable Trust as the cooler months approach.
Tawa Rotary has been actively collecting for children supported by Foster Hope Charitable Trust.
June Matthews, Foster Hope Charitable Trust notes that the appeal was so successful last winter and has continued with summer pyjama drive.
"I would love for the pyjama drive to kick off again with your help, and I have been thinking, what if we included slippers and pyjamas in it this year too? We had a few donated along the way and there were a few cases that received these and were absolutely chuffed! I think it would be good (and important) to keep the focus on the pyjamas, but I think there are a few families, especially the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren that would also really appreciate the extras too.
I’ve been thinking about your other offer too, what if we met up one night to make up toiletry bags? We could get a few people along, and I could bring the toiletries to be packed up, and the toilet bags, and everyone could have lists of the ages they were making up? It makes the pack making days so much easier when we can just slip a toilet bag already filled in and is probably easier to do offsite."
