From President Richard Our Book Fair has now had done its three-week run and we have earned around $9 – 10,000, well done to the organising team, Pat, Richard, Gaylene, Judith and the rest of you. This year we are looking at clearing all the books and will start from scratch for next year, I heard the comment that some of the books out on the tables were out for their third year, probably says something. The feedback I got at the board meeting re the working bee at KCA was all positive and it sounds like we were able to help make a difference. This coming week we are packing away the books from our Book Fair, it is pleasing to see that we have managed to cut the stock down significantly and as indicated above have well financially. The next week being the first Tuesday in November will be our Melbourne Cup night visit to the Plimmerton Rotary club, I have asked that you get in an early apology if you are not going to Plimmerton as we have to let them know numbers later this week. Don’t leave it until the last minute to indicate whether you will be there or not, we can’t muck our hosts around. So in closing we have done well over the last few weeks, and there is more to come. Let us do Rotary together. |
