Toot4Tucker Foodbank appeal - an annual community project led by Tawa Rotary, together with service and business organisations - to collect non-perishable food and cash donations for Tawa Foodbank.

Thanks Tawa for your help with the 2018 Toot4Tucker Foodbank appeal!  Great results from last week's collection with approx. 4490 non-perishable food items and cash donations totalling $1195-80.

This community project is aimed at re-stocking the Tawa Foodbank prior to Christmas and New Year, particularly when demand tends to be high.

Thank you to the many volunteers and local business who helped us with promoting, driving, collecting and supporting this year’s Toot4Tucker collection - some are included in the group photo:

  • Tawa Volunteer Fire Brigade
  • Salvation Army including their youth group
  • Tawa Lions
  • Tawa Scouts
  • Tawa Cubs (collected in Redwood Village)
  • Tawa Baptist Youth Group
  • Tawa Community Patrol
  • OneAgency
  • Tawa New World
  • Tawa Inner Wheel
  • Tawa Rotarians and their families

The generosity of our Tawa community towards this annual foodbank appeal has been growing over the years since established in 2011.
